Keith Haring

Keith Haring exhibition in Rome. Discover the master of street and pop art at Palazzo Braschi Until April 11, 2027.

The exhibition

From October 6, 2026, to April 11, 2027, the Museo di Roma at Palazzo Braschi hosts a major retrospective dedicated to Keith Haring, one of the most iconic and influential figures in 20th-century contemporary art.
Set in the stunning backdrop of Piazza Navona, this exhibition offers our hotel guests an unmissable opportunity to dive into the creative universe of the American master, whose visionary works elevated street art into a universal visual language.
Inspired by the vibrant energy of 1980s New York City, subway graffiti, music, and social activism, Haring forged an unmistakable symbolic imagery—from his world-famous Radiant Baby and barking dogs to dancing figures, hearts, and angels.
The showcase features over 140 artworks and historical documents, largely drawn from the prestigious Nakamura Keith Haring Collection alongside major public and private loans.

The exhibition path explores key thematic sections:

  • Connection to Italy: A special focus on his artistic journeys across Naples, Milan, Pisa, and Rome.
  • Street Art & Art in Transit: Legendary Subway Drawings created in the New York City subway system.
  • Political & Social Resonance: Powerful advocacy works such as Crack Down!, Safe Sex!, Free South Africa and awareness posters for ACT-UP.
  • Art Is for Everybody: Masterpieces including the Icons series, Andy Mouse, the iconic Poster for Pisa, and the breathtaking triptych Altarpiece: The Life of Christ.
