The 81st edition of the Internazionali di tennis BNL d’Italia is underway and will be held at the Foro Italico in Rome until May 19th.

The Internazionali BNL d’Italia is back! It is one of the most important and most anticipated tennis tournaments in Rome, part of the ATP Tour Masters 1000 circuit and the WTA 1000 circuit. Like every year, the Foro Italico sees the world’s best players compete for two weeks of great tennis.
Among the most important names there are Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Rafa Nadal, as well as the Italian players Matteo Berrettini, Lorenzo Musetti, and Lorenzo Sonego. The women’s group also promises to be of the highest level, starting with the world number 1, the Polish Iga Swiatek. Next to her Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff and the reigning champion Elena Rybakina. Among the Italians Jasmine Paolini, Lucia Bronzetti and Elisabetta Cocciaretto.
The ATP has predicted a leap in quality for the tournament. The number of participants increased from 56 to 96, while the days of the tournament increased to 12. There will be no shortage of celebrations for Italy’s victory of the Davis Cup after 47 years, with the exhibition of the trophy at Foro Italico.
Finally, there is something new for fans of online games: the first edition of the eSeries of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia 2024. This is a project by eSports to promote tennis among young people. The virtual tournament will announce a final winner.
