From the 18th of March to the 15th of October the exhibition Infinity.Michelangelo Pistoletto. Contemporary art without limits will be at the Chiostro del Bramante. 50 works and four installations that tell the story of over 60 years of artistic career.
THE EXHIBITION
Chiostro del Bramante in Rome hosts the exhibition Infinity. Michelangelo Pistoletto. Contemporary art without limits. From 18 March to 15 October it will be possible to admire over 50 works and 4 site-specific installations that trace the career and life of the great artist.
The project curated by Danilo Eccher is a fascinating journey to discover the poetics of one of the masters of contemporary art. The multiple ways of seeing and representing reality that evolve and transform over the years together with the person. At the center, a single artist who has multiplied himself in diversity, as Pistoletto affirms and whose concept of art without limits inspires the title of the exhibition.
On the occasion of Michelangelo Pistoletto‘s 90th birthday, Chiostro del Bramante has chosen to dedicate the inauguration of the new exhibition season to the artist. An opportunity to share both his historical works and the new productions created specifically for the spaces of the Chiostro.
The works cover the artist’s entire career: from the 1960s with the mirror paintings, Metrocubo d’Infinito, Venere degli Stracci to the 1970s with L’Etrusco. Among the most recent works we have Libri of the 1990’s and the projects related to the creation, Love Difference–Mar Mediterrane and Neon.
